Do the Wild win all their games with such biased reffing, or was this a special case because the Wild couldn't win a fair game last time?

Just curious.

I see T-O as the new Boston. Kadri = Marchand, when they play eachother it'll just be 2 rats fighting for the cheese.

Good luck trading koivu with that big cap hit and his level of play

Ha ha ha! Delusional much? I suppose next your going to tell us that Kadri shouldn't have been penalized on the Granlund hit?! Nor should he be suspended for two blantent head shots last night?

Oh yeah, how exactly did the refs skew the game in the SO? I suppose the linesman somehow caused Kessel to lose the puck during his attempt?! You guys crack me up.

Can't win graciously or lose gracefully is the feeling I'm getting...

Kadri was a moron on the Backstrom play. Should get suspended for sure, which is retarded since it's not like we need help at centre at the moment. I was hoping somone on minny would have made him drop the mits to make up for it. Kadri needs a wakeup call for sure.

I don't have a problem with the second hit, i think it was more tied to the backstrom hit to be honest

The Granlund hit is exactly the type of hit the league is trying to stop from happening. A player with his head down that gets a shoulder launched directly into his face. It's an unnecessary and dangerous hit.

Thank Kessel for the win. Minus his giveaway, Wild lose this 1-0.

i don't see what he could have done except not hit him. Either way, minny should have sent someone to handle kadri (im dissapointed they didnt)

Yep, that and the refs. Wild goal tending and endurance to perservere had nothing to do with it. Right?!

You and me both.

As far as the hit is concerned, I dont' think it was completely egregious, but I think that's the correct answer, not hit him, pretty much the same concept as a player with his back turned. Had Granlund been doing anything other than trying to find the puck in his skates and had he been anticapating a hit, I think a legal check could have been applied. But there's no need to launch into a guy that's stationary along the boards with his head down. Plenty of other options available.

I think the hit ended up being dirty, but it looked to me like it wasn't intended to be. The new rules on hitting are for safety, so they make sense, but they also penalize hits that aren't necessarily intended to hurt anybody. Nature of the beast. (NFL is seeing similar issues) If Kadri gets suspended, it will be for Backstrom.

Kadri could have used a beating though. Nobody on the Wild wants to take care of their teammates or what?

yeah I don't know on that one. This team is beginning to be a lot more passive I guess. Puzzling to me why Konopka was never involved but I do think he took an early elbow to the nose and may have broken it. But the only one showing a little grit last night was Coyle and he shouldn't be the one dropping the gloves for the Wild.

I just find it funny how many of the Toronto fans I've seen posting need to find a scape goat for why they lost. Can't be that they were out played or just lost. Threre has to be an excuse.

Wild didn't bring their "A" game last night, but they did enough to come away with 2 points. Certainly less deserving of a win last night as they were in the first encounter. So I guess I could use your logic and say the only reason the Leafs one the first match up is because Harding didn't start instead of a rookie that was ill-prepared to face his first NHL team of the season.

Okay, yeah, I guess that works.

I don't think it's a scape goat? Did you watch the game? It was a pretty glaring turnover. It's not like he singled out anyone's generally crappy play.
It was the play that directly lead to the only goal the Wild scored (including going o- for on the 5 minute major).
If Kessel doesn't turn it over. It's a 1-0 Leafs win.
No big deal...Kessel DID turn it over, the Wild scored and tied it up and won in SO.

No, you're probably right. But to put things into perspective, Toronto had 8 total turnovers last night and the Wild had 11 takeaways. It just so happens they scored the tying goal on the Kessels TO. So I guess it seems logical to blame the loss on that one event because it did lead to the tie.

I dont' want to argue semantics, especially with someone who's level headed. I just found it funny that a couple guys were trolling and trying to blame the loss on refs, Kessel or what have you.

Remember, every fan base has trolls, we have the most fans, hence the most trolls (im not saying they were trolling btw, just saying).

I thought we were going to get blown out, we are due for a stinker. i was happy with the point but knew you guys were tying the game.

Kadri should have been penalized more on the Backstrom hit.

Admittedly, I may be seeing it with Leafs-coloured glassed on, but I thought the hit on Phaneuf from behind in the dying minutes was a worse hit than Kadri's hit on Granlund (not that I saw either as being a serious hit).
